Located a very short drive from Arusha Town, this small beautiful park is nestled on the foothills of Mount Meru offers tons of attractions for a park its size. It’s one of Tanzania’s most accessible parks and makes for an excellent day trip in any itinerary.

Arusha National Park has two lakes which provide a great opportunity for visitors to go canoeing to enjoy close up game viewing of hippos and water birds.
The dry months of December to March and June to September are the best times to try attempt hiking the Kilimanjaro. The wet seasons are dangerous to attempt hiking due to wet and slippery trails of snow and mud.
