Day 1: Travel to Arusha, Tanzania

Your international flight will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your will be picked up from the airport by our representative and driven to your accommodation in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Take on the African bush after your lovely overnight stay at Arusha Serena. Your Royal guide driver will drive you to the beautiful Tarangire National Park. A park situated about 2 hours and 30 minutes from Arusha town.  Famous for large elephant herds and majestic baobab trees scattered across the park, Tarangire offers a diverse number of attractions and wildlife such as lions, giraffes, impala, warthogs, zebras, wildebeests, dwarf mongoose and ostriches as well as various types of antelopes such as gazelles to fill your experience.

Home to around 500 bird species migratory, endemic and rare species, the park is a birders paradise. After an afternoon game drive that promises a spectacular game viewing, you will be directed to your accommodation to settle and relax.

Day 3: Tarangire NP - Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park, a destination that promises an opportunity to witness a huge variety of bird species as well as the stunning migratory flamingos. This Rift Valley Lake also sustains a rich wildlife in the surrounding area that ensures a wonderful game drive in this small park.

The park lies on the floor of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment, delivering amazing scenery of vegetation and wildlife such as elephants, blue and ververt monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, zebras and many others. The lake attracts over 400 species of migratory and wading birds and other abundant wildlife that depend on it including hippos. The shallow alkaline habitat of the lake breeds microorganisms that draws large populations of flamingos.

Get close to nature by touching and feeling the African bush with a nature walk. Other activities including bicycling around Mto wa Mbu town with a view of the local community living around the National Park.

Day 4: Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast morning, you will depart for a full day on the Serengeti. The Maasai term “siringitu,” which means “endless plains,” is where the name “Serengeti” originates. When you see the vast expanse of grassland savannas that extends as far as the eye can see in the distance, you will understand why. Rich in wildlife and beautiful landscapes, Serengeti promises a lot of incredible moments in your safari.

For birders, the park boasts about 500 bird species, the park promises a birder’s satisfaction. Species like the African Ostrich, crowned cranes, the elegant secretary birds and the abundant vulture species that promise a kill on the plains. Head back to your accommodation, relax and enjoy the beautiful Serengeti sunset.

Day 5 & 6: Serengeti Migration

Enjoy two full days on the Serengeti immersing yourself into one of the greatest wildlfe spectacles on the planet, The Great Migration. Around 1.5 million wildebeests, zebras and impala migrating through the Serengeti every year. Predators including lions, leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs, hyenas and crocodiles pick off the old and weak animals keeping populations healthy and their numbers stable. Some 300,000 migrant animals are lost to predators, river crossings and fatigue during the migration every cycle.

Head to the famous crocodile infested rivers of the park where large migration herds of wildebeests and zebras try their luck to cross to the other side and continue their journey through the park.   

Led by their instincts, these brave animals brave the strong currents of Grumeti, Seronera and Mara Rivers while the enormous Nile Crocodiles feast and stack up on the unfortunate individuals in what is an impressive and dramatic sight. After an unforgettable day, you will head back to your accommodation to relax and savor the experience of the day.

Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

A morning drive heading towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area is an experience filled with wonderful game viewing as the animals start their adventure on the plains. Reaching the Ngorongoro, you will head to the crater rim and gaze down on the magnificent landscape of the crater floor teeming with wildlife.

Descend from the Crater’s rim to the floor and experience the most amazing geological feature in Africa and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Formed three million years ago, and with a habitat, the crater is home to one of the densest wildlife populations on earth.

Get to explore and discover the wildlife species of the East African savanna in the grass steppes and acacia forest of the crater, including the “Big Five” (rhino, elephant, Cape buffalo, lion, leopard). With more than 500 species of bird, the crater is a birder’s paradise.

You may choose to head to your accommodation to relax or take on nearby attractions of Ngorongoro like visiting Maasai villages, a tour of Olduvai Gorge or the beautiful Empakai Crater.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast, you will head back to Arusha to your scheduled flight back home.
