A truly different attraction from the rest, Lake Natron is a shallow lake that sometimes turns orange-red in color due to the algae that thrive in it. It is these algae and the microorganisms that around two million flamingos come to breed on the lake, truly a sight like no other.
You can opt for a 4-hour hike on the nearby Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai, visit ancient hominid footprints or beautiful waterfalls among so many other activities in the area to immerse yourself with.

Take a tour of Lake Manyara which offers an experience of a different dimension. The park lies on the floor of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment, delivering amazing scenery of wildlife and vegetation. The lake attracts over 400 species of migratory and wading birds and other abundant wildlife that depend on it including hippos. The shallow alkaline habitat of the lake breeds microorganisms that draws large populations of flamingos.
Explore Lake Manyara for your final day of the African bush on a whole different perspective through a Treetop Canopy Walk and experience the lush dense evergreen forest filled with forest animals, biking through the outer edges of the park and the surrounding Mto wa Mbu town.
